Astrology Chart Widget for Wix: The One Setting That Makes It Work
Add a free natal chart or Human Design calculator to Wix. Uses Custom Code, not the Embed HTML block, so it loads on your own domain. Lead capture included.
Wix has an "Embed HTML" block, and it is the wrong place for this widget. That block runs your code inside a sandboxed frame on a Wix-owned domain, which means anything that checks which site it is running on sees Wix, not you. Our widget checks exactly that (your publishable key is locked to your domain so nobody can spend your credits from another site), so in the Embed HTML block it refuses to load.
The right place is Settings → Custom Code. Here is the whole install, plus what the widget does once it is in.
Wix trips up almost everyone on this, and it is not your fault. The Embed HTML block looks like the obvious place, and it silently runs your code on a Wix-owned address, so the widget's own domain check (the thing that stops someone else from spending your credits) sees a stranger. I'd rather tell you the one setting that works than let you burn an evening on it: Custom Code, Body – end, and you're done. Give the chart its own page and you'll have the cleanest lead-magnet link on Wix.

What you get
- A natal chart or Human Design bodygraph, computed on your page against NASA JPL's DE440 ephemeris. Free on every account.
- Email capture with consent, delivered to your inbox, dashboard, and CSV. Lead capture is free. On Pro, a Zapier or Make webhook pushes each lead into Mailchimp, Kit, or Flodesk without copying.
- Dashboard-driven changes. Theme, accent, logo, house system, chart types: edit in the dashboard, live on your Wix site. The code never changes.
Installing on Wix
- Create a free OpenEphemeris account → Dashboard → Widgets → New widget.
- Configure chart types, house system, zodiac, theme, and logo. Add your Wix domain to the allowlist (
yoursite.com, orusername.wixsite.comwhile you are still on the free Wix domain). - Turn on the email gate if you want leads. (On Pro, paste your Zapier or Make webhook and hit Send test.)
- Copy the two-line snippet.
- In Wix: Settings → Advanced → Custom Code → Add Custom Code. Paste the snippet. Under Add Code to Pages, choose the page(s) the chart belongs on. Under Place Code in, choose Body – end. Apply.
- Publish the site, open the page, and confirm the chart form renders. The dashboard's install checker confirms it too.
Custom Code requires a Wix Premium plan with a connected domain. On the free Wix plan, Custom Code is not available, and the Embed HTML block will not work for the reason above.
Where does the chart appear? Custom Code placed in Body – end renders the widget at the bottom of the page body, below your last section. There is no way to drop it mid-page on Wix without the sandboxed block, so the clean pattern is a dedicated page ("Your Chart" or "Free Chart"), linked from the menu, with the widget as the page's only content below a short intro. That page is also the natural destination for a lead-magnet link in your bio or newsletter.
What it costs
Free to install on every account: 3 credits per chart a visitor generates, from a wallet that starts with 150 credits (50 charts) and tops up from $5. Pro adds Zapier/Make delivery, the synastry bi-wheel, white-label, and 75,000 credits a month. Billing details, the low-credit emails, and the run-out behaviour are in the main widget guide.
