Add an interactive astrology chart to your website
Visitors enter their birth details and get a natal chart, synastry bi-wheel, or Human Design bodygraph — styled to your brand, right on your page. No code required.
Available on any paid OpenEphemeris plan.
How It Works
Everything lives behind a widget ID — edit your setup anytime in the dashboard and the snippet on your site never changes.
Configure in the dashboard
Pick your chart types (natal, biwheel, bodygraph), lock in your house system, zodiac, and body set, and choose a theme — light, dark, or mono, with your own accent color.
Paste the snippet
Two lines, one time. Drop it into any HTML/Code block on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, or Showit. Every future edit in the dashboard goes live automatically — no re-pasting.
Leads arrive automatically
Turn on the email gate and every visitor who generates a chart becomes a lead — delivered to your inbox, a Zapier/Make webhook, and your dashboard leads table.
<script async src="https://openephemeris.com/embed.js"
data-widget="wg_yourwidget" data-pk="pk_yourkey"></script>That's the whole install. The dashboard generates this snippet for you with your own widget ID and publishable key.
Try It Right Here
This is the real widget, embedded with the same two-line snippet you'd paste:
Enter birth details and the chart renders right here. Lead capture is switched off on this demo — it's a toggle in your dashboard.
Turn Chart Views Into Leads
Turn on the email gate — before or after a chart teaser — and every visitor who wants their chart hands over an email address first, with a clear, consent-first checkbox that names you, not us.
Delivered your way
Leads land in your inbox, a Zapier or Make webhook, and your dashboard leads table — with CSV export.
Your CRM stays the system of record
We hold leads for 90 days on our side as a receipt, then purge them. Your inbox or CRM is where they actually live.
Built For Practitioners, Not Developers
Three Chart Types
Natal wheel, synastry biwheel, or Human Design bodygraph — enable any combination and pick a default.
Your Doctrine, Locked In
House system, zodiac, and body set are set by you. Choose per-setting whether visitors may adjust them — nothing shifts by accident.
Themed To Match Your Site
Light, dark, or mono presentation with a custom accent color, so the widget looks native to your site instead of bolted on.
Domain-Locked Embed Key
Your publishable key only works on the domain you register. Copied to another site, it stops working.
JPL DE440 Precision
Every chart is computed live on the NASA JPL DE440 ephemeris — the same sub-arcsecond precision behind the full OpenEphemeris API.
Async, Iframe-Isolated
The loader is a few hundred bytes and loads async; the chart itself renders in an isolated iframe that never blocks your page.
Works Anywhere You Can Paste HTML
One snippet in any HTML/Code block.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do my visitors need an account?
No. Visitors just enter their birth details and see their chart — no login, no signup, nothing to install on their end.
Is visitor data stored?
Only if you turn on lead capture, and only with the visitor's consent. Charts themselves are computed on the fly and are not stored.
What plan do I need?
The widget is available on any paid OpenEphemeris plan — creating an embed key requires an active subscription. Every chart your visitors generate costs 2 credits from your plan, the same as any visualization you'd request from the API directly.
What does each chart cost in credits?
2 credits per successful render, billed to your account. Loading the widget config, the location autocomplete, and lead submissions are all free, so a visitor typing in the place field costs you nothing. If a render fails, the credits are refunded.
Does widget traffic use the same credits as my API calls?
Yes. Embed renders and direct API calls draw from one shared monthly allowance, which resets on your billing anniversary.
Will I be warned before I run out of credits?
Yes. We email you at 80%, 95%, and 100% of your monthly allowance, and show a banner in your dashboard. If you have a widget installed, the warning says so explicitly, because your public site is what stops working.
What happens if I run out of credits?
The widget stops rendering charts and visitors see an error card instead. There's no surprise bill: overage billing is off, so calls simply fail until your allowance resets on your billing anniversary. Upgrading applies immediately and the widget starts working again.
Can I remove the OpenEphemeris watermark?
Yes — removing the badge is included on every paid plan. It's a toggle in your widget settings.
Does it slow my site down?
No. The loader script is async and tiny, and the chart itself renders in an isolated iframe — it never blocks your page from loading.
Why isn't my widget showing up?
The most common cause is the domain allowlist: the domain saved in your widget settings must match the site actually serving the page. Subdomains of an allowed domain work automatically, but a staging domain needs its own entry. Allowlist changes take about a minute to apply. Widgets also require the page to be served over https — localhost is allowed for local testing.
Does it work on Wix?
Yes — add the snippet through Wix's site-wide Custom Code (Settings → Custom Code). The "Embed HTML" block does not work: it runs the code inside a sandboxed frame on a Wix-owned domain, so the widget's domain check fails.
Does it work on Squarespace?
Yes, on the Business plan or higher. Squarespace gates Code blocks below the Business plan, and the snippet needs a Code block.
How do I get the leads?
Leads are emailed to you within the hour, appear in your dashboard leads table immediately, and can be exported as CSV. You can also add an optional webhook to send each lead to Zapier or Make.
